Friday Night Fun

Isabelle had a great surprise waiting for her this afternoon when she got home from her LAST day of 3rd grade - her BFF was waiting for her. Our plans changed and since we are not going out of town this weekend, she got to go to her friend Caidyn's house for a sleepover. We took advantage of one less mouth to feed and brought Xavier and Anna to House of Japan (hopefully, Isabelle isn't reading this, she will be mad!). We have brought them before, but they both seemed to enjoy it a lot more than the last time. After eating dinner, we went to the park nearby. They both had lots of fun. Xavier took his second "nature pee" of the day, but we had to leave after he took his traditional "poop my pants in the park." This marks the second time he has pooped his pants there. No complaining from us, though. He's been a pro at potty training and really only has accidents when he's having too much fun to remember to go!

Anna loved going down AND up the slide! They both had a great time in the swings.

Xavier climbed the rock wall many times. He was so proud of himself!

Allergic to Sunscreen?

I put sunscreen on Anna Sunday before heading to the outlet mall and she just kept rubbing and rubbing her face and was very grumpy. It was Baby No-Tear kind and none of the other kids have trouble with it, so I don't think it got in her eyes and bothered her. I wiped her face off with a baby wipe and she seemed to be fine. Today I put it on again, and now she looks likes she has hives! I washed her face with baby soap and put some hydrocortisone on it, but she is still miserable. Anyone think she might be allergic? Any suggestions on other kids of sunscreen? Poor baby!!!

Little Walker

Anna is getting more and more confident in her walking. She walks about 50% of the time now, so much better! If she's not walking, she's usually climbing on something instead. She's such a daredevil! There are lots of bumps and bruises in her future!

Polar Bears

I had my first Pampered Chef show today.  I was kind of nervous, but it went really well.  Brian and my dad took Xavier, Anna, Isabelle, and her friend Caidyn to the zoo to see the Polar Bears.  I am going to need to go - it looks like a great exhibit!

My Garden

Brian snapped a few pics of my garden.  I've planted a huge row of green beans, 2 big rows of sugar snap peas, 5 broccoli plants, 3 cauliflower plants, lettuce mix, spinach, basil, thyme, sage, rosemary, cilantro, and 14 tomato plants.  "Harvest" is going to be busy!

John Deere

I know, I know...it's blasphemy using JD as the title of this post.  Our neighbors gave us their old play tractor for Xavier to ride.  He's been having lots of fun!  Isabelle and our neighbor, Alexis, have been playing Army Ranger in the trees behind the house.

May Day

Isabelle's school had a May Day celebration on Thursday.  The 3rd graders performed "Apoi Ti Ti A," a Hawaiian song.  My neighbor got it on video and posted to YouTube.  Enjoy!
