Pumpkin Patch and Carving

We decided to go to Circle S Farms Saturday afternoon for some Pumpkin Patch activites!  Everyone loved jumping around in Scarecrow Cave (a barn with tons of bales of straw), the hay ride, and picking out our pumpkins.  On Sunday afternoon, we carved our pumpkins.  Isabelle was in charge of hers and mine.  Anna and Xavier were very helpful digging out the guts!  Lots of fun!

Xavier's 3rd Birthday Party

Xavier's birthday party is over - he LOVED it, though.  He really understood that he was the "Birthday Boy" and that today was his day.  He was very excited about all of his gifts and all of the family that came to celebrate with him.  He's a very lucky boy!

We finally got around to getting some family pictures as well as individual pictures taken tonight.  We went to Sears and hopefully the next time we get pictures, we plan better and can get something a little better.  I was pretty nervous about how the kids were going to act, but they did really well.  Here are some of the outtakes...

Piano Recital

Isabelle has been taking piano lessons for about 3-4 months now and tonight she had her first piano recital.  She has learned so much in such a short amount of time and we are so proud of her!  There were some technical difficulties (or user error) with the video camera, but I was able to get her second and third songs on the regular camera before the battery died.  The coloring and sound are not great!  We seem to be having a lot of electronic difficulties lately...

Yes, I've been slacking, but we had to get a new computer and our good camera is on the fritz.  There's m excuse!

August 12-15:  I went to Atlanta to meet little Zoe Marie Allen for the first time.  SUCH a good trip and I wish I could go back every month.  It was great to see Andrea and Sean and to get to meet Zoe!

August 19:  Alex celebrated her 1st birthday!  We had cupcakes, which evil Anna enjoyed tremendously!

August 23:  Isabelle's first day of 4th grade!
