World's Fair (aka North Star Picnic)

I took the kids to the North Star Picnic this weekend.  We won a plate of homemade chocolate chip cookies, a ball, baseball bat, and lots of money at Chuck-a-Luck!  Xavier and Isabelle got to be in the parade, which was very exciting!  Anna even enjoyed it - very surprising.  She LOVED the horses at the end and was so sad to see them go "bye bye."

I packed light and didn't bring extra changes of clothes in case of eating disasters, so the kids got stripped down for dinner.  Uncle Paul thought Xavier needed a neon green Air Head for an appetizer!

Finally, the "floats" we've been waiting for!  Isabelle, Kevin, Sarah, and Lillian starting the North Star Hardware show!

Xavier and Grandpa in what Bill Roll announced as "a big tractor."  You definitely can only get a parade like this in North Star and you can't get an announcer like Bill Roll anywhere else!  I may be biased, but it's the best picnic and parade ever!!
