Little Artists

Last Monday, the kids drew a big mural.  I got someon video, but of course as soon as I turn it on, they get stage fright, and just want to watch me instead of color!

Girl Scouts

Thursday was the Girl Scout "Awards Ceremony."  Me and the other 2 leaders took all the girls to CiCi's Pizza for dinner and then to Pump It Up for play time.  Pump it Up has big inflatable bounce houses, slides, and obstacle courses.  Xavier went along for everything and other siblings met us at Pump It Up.  He had a blast and everyone kept asking me if he ever runs out of energy!  After 45 minutes in the play room, we went into the Party Room and all of the girls got their Try-Its for the year and a few other patches.  It was a great way to end the year!

Pics from CiCi's:
The kids all had to watch a 2 minute safety video before entering the play room at Pump It Up.  They were all watching pretty intently!
Xavier needed some help getting through the obstacle course, but he went through it about 50 times!  Isabelle and Caidyn went with him a couple times, then they decided to duke it out on the air hockey table!

Isabelle received her Try-Its, a gift basket, and 2nd place Cookie Seller, and Perfect Attendence!

Soccer and Lacrosse

Saturday was a big game for the soccer team.  They were playing a U-10 team, which means the girls were all a year older.  Last fall they played a U-10 team and kind of got blown out.  Saturday, though, they really hung in there.  The score was 4-1 (or 4-0, can't remember), but it actually looked a lot closer than that.  They scored their last 3 goals in the last couple minutes, so we just got tired at the end.  The game was pretty exciting and the girls played great!  Last game is next weekend!

Sunday was the final lacrosse game.  They played a really tough team.  The score at the half was 3-7, Isabelle's team with 3.  They were looking pretty tired and defeated on the sidelines and her coach said "look at those girls over there, they're all jumping around and full of energy!"  It must have gotten her team fired up, because they came out the second half and won 10-9!  It was a very exciting game.  I took a team photo with my cell phone after - can you see anything different with Isabelle?

Soccer

Here are some pictures from the last couple soccer games.  Yesterday, Isabelle scored 2 goals and her team won 3-1!

Xavier's Safari Room

It only took a week and his room is done!  I started painting Xavier's room last Saturday, and just finished the bookshelf!  I do still have to change out the handles on his dresser, but basically, it's all done!  yea!  Thanks to Emily and Paul for helping to hang the mural!

I forgot to take pics before moving everything out of the room, but here is a pic after I finished spackling.  On a side note, I bought a tub of spackle when we moved and after painting only 3 1/2 rooms (bathroom only counts as a half), I have used up the entire tub.  Lots of things to fix on the walls!
After starting on the walls, I decided to expand the project to include all of the woodwork and the closet.  That's not really a whole lot of fun!

Then it was time to hang the mural!  The directions said it would take two people 4 hours, but it only took me and Emily about 3, so that was good!  (Thank you, Isabelle, for making sure our butts were front and center in the pic - haha!)

Meanwhile, Xavier has been sleeping on his mattresses on the floor in our room.  We found out this week that he talks and chews in his sleep - just like his daddy!  Mommy did not sleep very well this week!

And it's finally done!

Dress Up

Xavier found the drawer full of Build-A-Bear clothes and dressed himself up this morning.  He's such a ham!

So, it's been a while...

I'm getting complaints that I haven't posted lately, so here's an update.

Potty training:  Xavier is a big boy!  Ever since the Wednesday that I not so nicely told him that he wasn't allowed to poop in his pants, he's gone on the potty all by himself!  He has had maybe 2 accidents since then!  Very exciting stuff!

Soccer:  two weekends ago, Isabelle scored 3 goals and her team won the game, yea!  Yesterday, she scored the only goal, but they lost 2-1.  It was not very nice weather and they played great.

Lacrosse:  Today, Isabelle had a "Jamboree" which meant that they played 5 20-minute games instead of 1 40-minute game.  It was a long day.  I watched the first 2 games and they won both and Isabelle scored 1 goal!  The last 3 games were really rainy.  Brian, Xavier, and Rachel went to those.  I actually never asked how they went!

Other updates:  I decided to redo Xavier's room.  I painted the room yesterday and decided that the trim also needed done.  So, I have put 2 coats of paint on the trim and am very tired!

What else...oh yeah, I've become a Pampered Chef consultant!  I'm pretty excited and have spent most of my free computer time, taking lots of training classes.  There are lots of great rewards for hosting parties, so let me know if you are interested.  YOU could be one of my first clients!
