Halloween Party

We had a "daycare" Halloween party last Friday.  Isabelle had the day off school, so she was able to help.  We made bats out of our hands and had mummy and finger pretzels and also had "boo"-nanas.  Jenni brought her nieces and Kylie over, so it was pretty fun!  After we had snacks and made our bats, we went on a parade through the neighborhood.

Levi and Abby were really into it!  haha
Anna, of course, was the only one that ate ALL of her snacks!
Xavier and I made a deal that I would eat the chocolate part of his mummy pretzel and he would eat the pretzel part...so delicious for Mommy!
The whole gang!  A Lady Dracula, Monkey, Pirate Skeleton, Ladybug, Minnie Mouse, Fairy Princess, Pea Pod, and Katie and Isabelle

On Sunday, we had the neighborhood Halloween party.  There were tons of kids and lots of fun.  There were snacks and crafts and the kids all enjoyed  playing on the big pirate ship swing set!  Here is a pic of the whole gang!

We didn't actually take any pictures on Beggar's Night, but our neighbor took this picture of Isabelle and Katie...

Preschool Halloween Party

Today is Xavier's Halloween Party at school.  The kids wore their costumes and then paraded around the "Large Muscle Room" for all of the parents to see.  After they went back to their rooms, they got together for group pictures.  This year Xavier is going to be a scary skeleton.

 Silly faces...
Scary faces... (not sure there's much of a difference, haha!)
 Smiley faces...

Piano Recital

Xavier had his very first piano recital November 16.  I'm not what number it was for Isabelle...she's had quite a few!  Xavier did pretty well.  He played part of his song a couple times and really took advantage of his 15 minutes of fame, but was very enjoyable to watch!  Isabelle played "Part of Your World" from The Little Mermaid and a song called "Little Suite."  We have video, but we need to fill up the disc before we can get anything off it.  So, here are some pictures to enjoy!

Anna, patiently waiting for the recital to start.
 Xavier went first...
After the drawn-out climb down from the piano bench, he looked to his teacher to see what he should do next.  I didn't get a picture of him bowing, but this is right before...
Isabelle was deep in concentration...

Xavier's Birthday Party

Xavier had a big birthday party this weekend.  He asked me back in May or June if we could go to the pumpkin patch and I told him that they didn't open until around his birthday.  Well, that gave me an idea!  So, we invited his friends (aka our friends and their kids!) and family to The Maize at Little Darby Creek pumpkin patch.  We were able to eat lunch, open presents, and eat cake in the barn.  The we all enjoyed the actitivities at the pumpking patch!  Xavier had a great time and was so excited to see all of his friends!

Soccer

Isabelle has had 4 soccer games so far.  She's been the goalie at least one half each game and hasn't let any goals through!  She scored her first two goals of the season this morning.  The game was miserably cold, wet, & windy!

Preschool

I didn't realize that we had a few pics from Xavier's first day of preschool.  He thought he was going to be "shy" at school, but he LOVES it and wishes he could go every day!

This is one of Xavier's teachers, Miss Jessica.
We have one of these see-saws at home, so I'm sure he told this boy exactly how to play with it!
They had a little soccer clinic at the end...

Xavier's First Day of Preschool

Xavier is going to be attending the Dublin Community Preschool on Tuesday and Thursday mornings for a couple hours and today is his first day!  He is glad that it's chillly out because he LOVES his blue shirt with a hood and really wanted to wear it today!
I think the girls are ready for him to go, too!
